Thus Fingon found what he sought. For suddenly above him far and faint his song was taken up, and a voice answering called to him. Maedhros it was that sang amid his torment. But Fingon climbed to the foot of the precipice where his kinsman hung, and then could go no further; and he wept when he saw the cruel device of Morgoth. Maedhros therefore, being in anguish without hope, begged Fingon to shoot him with his bow; and Fingon strung an arrow, and bent his bow. And seeing no better hope he cried to Manwл, saying:  King to whom all birds are dear, speed now this feathered shaft, and recall some pity for the Noldor in their need!

Now, even as Fingon bent his bow, there flew down from the high airs Thorondor, King of Eagles, mightiest of all birds that have ever been, whose outstretched wings spanned thirty fathoms; and staying Fingon's hand he took him up, and bore him to the face of the rock where Maedhros hung. But Fingon could not release the hell-wrought bond upon his wrist, nor sever it, nor draw it from the stone. Again therefore in his pain Maedhros begged that he would slay him; but Fingon cut off his hand above the wrist, and Thorondor bore them back to Mithrim.

 这时，fingon找到了要找的精。因为一个遥远而又微弱的声音从上方传来，接了他的歌，呼唤了他。饱受折磨的maedhros在歌唱。但fingon爬到悬挂他的悬崖下后就无法再前进。当他看见魔苟斯的残忍的设计后，不禁泪流满面。极度痛苦的maedhros十分绝望，恳求fingon用他美丽的弓箭射死自己。fingon痛苦地搭上箭，拉开弓。他万般绝望时向曼威哭喊着：钟爱众羽翼的君王，现在让这箭疾飞而去，在必要时回忆一丝对诺多的怜悯吧！
……
就在fingon拉开弓时，众鹰之王梭隆多从高处盘旋而下，他是所有羽翼中最强大的，双翅展开达三十噚，他拦下fingon，载着他飞到了悬挂maedhros的岩石前。但fingon无法破坏他手腕上的地狱钢铁，解不开也砍不断。maedhros在痛苦中再次请求他杀了自己，但英勇的fingon自手腕砍断了他的手，梭隆多载着他们回到了米斯林。

第二棒 我（给大家表演原地写文）

Not until now, did Maedhros found his young prince, for a distant clean sound called him softly. They gazed at each other, when even the time stopped. Sorrow and happiness lighted in his heart when Maedhros saw Fingon's tears of pity .

  ' Kill me, if there is still any mercy for me in your heart !' Maedhros heard what he said. Fingon, who bent his bow was extremly miserable so he cried, ' O! Mighty Manwe, the king loved by all! Let the arrow fly if you have ever recalled pity of Noldor!' 

Mighty blast blowed when Maedhros was quietly waiting for his freedom. Fingon, with blade in his hands, rode on Thorondor's back and flied to him. Pale in his face, Figon tried to cut the doomed steal to save him.

'I rather...'

'NO!'

Roaring with wrath, Fingon cut Maedhros' wrist.

 幕起，迈兹洛斯挂在山崖上，芬巩上，两人对望）

迈兹洛斯：听，自提里安而来，自远山而来，
那赞颂光明的歌正在此处中唱响。
告诉我，我是否陷入了遥远迷梦，
才得以在永恒黑暗中重见你面容？

不，你的颊边是什么在闪着微光？
是那比一切珠宝更为珍贵璀璨的
你饱含痛苦的泪水正在无声滑落。
使巨大的喜悦与痛苦拉扯我心胸！

如果你尚存怜悯之心，芬德卡诺，
弯起长弓，搭上你最锋利的箭矢。
请在此使我殷红的血液争相涌出，
让灵魂庆贺在死亡时取得的自由！


（芬巩沉默半响，拉开弓弦）
芬巩：    哦，风王曼威，人人爱戴的君主！
你曾引领我们在陌生大海中航行。
若你尚能回忆起对流亡诺多的爱，
请，让风挟这箭矢穿透他的胸膛。

（忽然梭隆多飞过来，芬巩跳上去，试图砍锁链，没有成功）

迈兹洛斯：这坚固锁链是生命与罪恶的枷锁，
为我往日曾抛弃和杀戮我的亲族。
我已接受命运对于我的最终宣判，
黑暗在于生命，而光明存于死亡！

芬巩：    不，梅提莫，那阴云未遮住朝阳，
莫让你的苦痛将希望的光芒蒙蔽。
我已预见贝尔兰大陆的注定覆灭
但你我必在史书中留有数笔功绩！
（芬巩砍下迈兹洛斯右手，乘鹰离开，幕落）

第四棒 @妮涅尔·涅诺尔 

(Curtains open )[Maedhros was hung over the cliff.Fingon looked up into Maedhros's eyesh.]

Maedhros:Listen! It's from Tirion ,far over the mountain.The song for glory of Aman is sound Tell me whether I was fall into a mysterious dream which I will never touch.So,could I see you again in the eternal dark. No.what is flashing near your eye?Tears filled whith pain fall in silence.That's more precious than any jewel.
     Great joy and sadness makes my heart break.If you still have some pity,Findekáno,pull your bow and make my blood bleed with your sharpest arrow .Than I will be free

 

Fingon:Oh,Manwë Súlimo.The elder king everyone loves.You  used to lead  us through the strange see .If you still remember the love for us,please let the wind bring this arrow through his breast

Suddenly, Thorondor Fingon jumped onto him and tried to break the fetter, but failed

 （正末扮芬巩上，诗云）危岩拦去路，烽火断云天。故人依稀处，无力泪潸然。小子芬巩是也，自出提里安已是经年，历得多少艰险才到中州，却听得我那兄长不幸蒙难，被囚于此山间。我但凭一身意气勇力，仗宝剑，引强弓，却是那黑暗大敌自寻来也是不惧的。但这山高沟险，连绵曲折不尽，却是叫我如何寻找！（做悲科，唱）
（仙吕 赏花时）但记得，罢了书学送好风，访友从来不言中。同去看晚空。山花如捧。明海与天通。

（冲末扮梅斯罗斯作挂科，云）是谁作歌？竟是山深处而来，是那旧日提里昂之歌，阿门荣耀之歌。我当是在做梦无疑了，或是我将在这暗无天日之地见到我的好兄弟。（哭科）我当是垂泪了，却是因为我爱我那兄弟多于一切珠玉。（唱）
（仙吕 赏花时）羽箭轻捷逐野风，并辔高歌华夜中。银树映穹空。杯盘前捧。心意两相通。
（叫科）当真是我的好兄弟！我心中且喜且悲，然而能得见贤弟一面，我死而无憾。（再哭科）如今我身陷囹圄，形如恶鬼，纵然受尽苦难却也比不得这般耻辱更甚。贤弟，我但求你引你的弓箭，叫你最利的箭见我的血，透我的身，好教我能从这无间地狱中脱出。

（正末同哭科，对天拜科）神王曼威，天地所爱之共主。（拉弓科）你曾引我等远去险阻，如今小子斗胆求你的风庇佑此箭，令其即刻解放我兄长，不使他受辱。

（净扮索隆多上，做扬翅科，正末乘鹰而前科，做解锁科，叫科）这劳什子竟坚硬如此！（冲末云）此锁专锁生灵之恶者，我弑亲而悖逆，已是罪无可赦，但求一死。

Enters the leading actor as FINGON

 

FINGON

High rock blocks my way,

Beacon pierces the sky.

Phantom of an old friend comes,

To which I can do naught but mourn.

It is I , Fingon. Long years it has been, since the flight from Tirion, and treacherous was the road to Arda. Only to learn of my cousin’s misfortune, imprisoned among these mountains! I will go as heart and courage lead; with blade sharp, with bow strong, with no fear should Morgoth come! But tall are the mountains and steep are the paths, winding, stretching on and on: how should I search for him? 

(Grieving, sings)

Still I recall, gentle breeze after school;

I visited my friend, no need for more words.

Together we gazed at stars, 

in mountains where wild flowers bloomed,

Shimmering sea melted into sky’s dome.

 

Second actor as Maedhros, hanging, speaks

 

MAEDHROS

Who is it singing, deep in the mountains? Of Tirion in times of yore, of Aman which glory bore. ‘Twas but a dream, certainly, or mayhap I will meet my dear cousin here, in the gloom. (Weeps) I shall weep, but because I hold my cousin dearer than any gems or jewels. (Yes including the silmarils ;-) )

(Sings)

Swift were our arrows that chase the wind.

We rode side by side; 

we sang in nights of silver lights,

when Telperion lit the sky.

I treated you with dainties and miruvor,

I trusted you with my heart and you handed yours over. 

(Cries)

So, it is you, dear cousin mine! My heart is filled with joy and woe. But now I behold you once more, I shall die with no regret.

(Weeps again)

Captured, scarred, hideous as orcs I am now, no torture could cause more shame. Cousin, I only wish you to aim your arrow, to draw my blood, to pierce my torso with your feathered shaft, to free me from this living hell! 

 

Leading actor weeps, pray to the sky

 

FINGON

O Manwe, king of Valar, beloved lord of all Arda. (Strings an arrow) You have led us away from peril. Now humbly I pray: let your blessings speed this arrow, let my cousin free from sorrow.

 

Enters the actor as Thorondor, spreads wings; leading actor rides forth on Thorondor, picks the lock, cries

 

FINGON

Strong is this thrice cursed lock! 

 

MAEDHROS

These shackles hold evil beings. 

I have slain kin and rebelled,

Evil beyond salvation.

Death shall be my only way out.

 冯巩：
巨石挡住了我的路，
灯塔刺穿了天空。
俺以为是位老朋友来了，
那位我只能哀悼的人。
那是俺，伟大的冯巩，自从提里安之战，到阿尔达的路也是骗人的了。只为了知道俺表哥的不幸,被囚禁在这群山之中!俺要像心和勇气一样前行,刀刃锋利,弓有力,魔苟斯无畏地来!山高,路陡,蜿蜒,绵延,我要怎样寻找他呢?
(悲伤,歌唱)
我还记得,放学后的微风,我去看望我的朋友,不需要更多的话。我们一起凝望群星,在群山中野花盛开,波光粼粼的大海融化成天空的穹顶。

梅德罗斯：
谁在山里唱歌?在古时候的提里安，阿门洲的荣耀。这是一个梦,当然,否则我可能会在这里遇到我亲爱的表妹,在黑暗中。(哭泣)我会哭泣,但因为我把我的堂兄抱得比任何宝石或珠宝都贵。(是的,包括水晶石;-)(歌声)速度是我们追逐风的箭。我们并肩作战,在银色的夜晚当泰尔帕隆照亮天空时,我们唱
着歌。我以美貌和镜子对待你我全心全意地信任你,而你却把你的心交给了我。
(哭喊)所以,是你,我亲爱的表哥!我的心充满了欢乐和悲哀。但现在我再一次看见你我将无悔地死去。(再次哭泣)俘虏,疤痕,可怕的兽人我现在没有任何酷刑可以引起更多的耻辱。表弟,我只希望你瞄准你的箭,抽我的血,用你的羽毛刺穿我的躯干,把我从这个活生生的地狱里解放出来!
　　
男主角哭泣,向天空祈祷。
　　
冯巩：
噢漫威！维拉之王！阿尔达主！(弦搭一箭)你使俺们远离危险。现在,俺谦卑地祈祷:让你的祝福加速这支箭,让俺的表弟摆脱悲伤。

索隆多展开翅膀;主角骑在索隆多上撬开锁,

这被诅咒的锁!
　　
梅德罗斯：
这些枷锁带着恶灵。我杀了亲人,背叛了一切,邪恶超越了救恩。死亡将是我唯一的出路。

Fingon:

The boulders blocked the way of mine,
The lighthouse pierced the hollow sky.
An old friend i thought came to me,
for who I can only shed grieve.

As for me,Fingon the great,
since the Battle of Tirion,
the road to Arda has been //
nothing but a deceit.

I was imprisoned in the mountains//
for revealing my cousin's misfortune.
Still i shall move on//
with my heart where courage from.

My sword is sharp,
my bow is strong.
Never fear Morgoth //
even i am alone.

The mountains rise high and sheer above//
those winding and stretching roads.
How can I find him //
when the day is gone?

 (Singing with sadness)

I still remember the breeze after school.
I went to visit my friends //
and didn't talk much more.

we stared at the countless stars.
Wild flowers opened their buds. 
The sea was sparkling and melting into //
the welkin that was high and blue.

The second actor Maedhros apears on the stage:

Maedhros:

Who is singing songs,
surrounded by mountains alone?
It dates back to an ancient time,
when Tirion filled with glory of Amen.

Surely this must be a dream.
Or i won't meet with my cousin //
when darkness has captured me .
(Sobbing)

My tears drop because//
i value my cousin much more//
than any jewels in the world.
(Yes,even more than the Silmarils)
(singing)

Chasing the wind,
our arrows flew as time.
We fought side by side, 
singing on a silver night //
when Telperion illuminated the sky.

I treated you with all my beauty. 
I trusted you with all my heart, 
and you given your heart to me.
 (crying)

So it's you, my dear cousin!
Inside me is a feeling of bittersweet.
But now i will die with no regret,
for i have seen you in my last glimpse.
(crying again)

Let alone captivity and scars, 
horrible orcs around there.
Nothing can degrade me//
even of brutal tortures after years.

O my dearest cousin,i wish //
none of your arrows shots in vain.
Please penetrate my torso //
and draw off my blood, 
free me from this damning place!

The chief actor cries and prays to the sky.

Fingon：

O Manwe!
King of Valar!Master of Arda!
(With an arrow rest on the bowstring)

It’s you that keep us from risks.
Now, I humbly pray: 
let your blessing fall on the bowstring, 
let my cousin get rid of grief.

Thorondor spreads its wings;the protagonist rides on the eagle's back and try to force the lock.

Fingon:

This cursed lock!
　　
Maedhros：

Evil spirits dwell in these chains.

I killed those ones i used to love,
betrayed them and everything all, 
accepted no admonish but evil call.
Death will be my only way out.

Fingon:

巨石阻断眼前的道路，

灯塔照彻虚旷的天空。

一位老友浮现我心头，

对他我只能倾吐哀恸。

对于我芬巩大帝（？）而言，

自从提力安战役之后，

通往世界的道路已然

不过是一种欺诈手段。

为揭露我堂兄的不幸，

我被困于群山的牢笼。

然而我仍将奋力前行，

不绝的勇气源自心中。

所佩的长剑锋芒锐利，

所携的良弓强劲有力。

决不畏惧那黑暗大敌，

即使我必须孤军深入。

隆起的群山高耸峻峭，

山路蜿蜒向远方延伸。

当白日逝去黑夜将近，

我如何才能将他找到？

（悲伤地唱）

犹记放学后微风吹拂，

我前去看望几位朋友，

并未多言亦无需多言。

我们凝视着无数星辰，

野地的花朵绽开蓓蕾。

波光粼粼的大海融进

高远湛蓝的天穹之中。

[第二名演员Maedhros登场。]

Maedhros:

是谁唱起了旧时的歌谣，

当他正独自被群山环绕？

这叫我忆起古老的年岁，

提力安充满阿门的荣耀。

无疑，这必是南柯一梦。

否则我怎能遇见我的堂弟，

在这攫住我的黑暗之中。

（哽咽）

此刻我不禁泪流满面，

因我钟爱我的堂弟胜过

这世上一切的珠宝珍玩。

（是的，甚至胜过精灵宝钻）

（唱）

我们的箭矢追逐着风，

如时间一般飞掠而过。

我们亦曾经并肩作战，

在某个银色的夜晚歌唱

当泰尔佩瑞安照亮天空。

我所有的美好为你展露，

我全心全意地信任着你，

你也将你的心交给了我。

（哭泣）

是你在那儿，亲爱的堂弟！

我胸中涌现出苦涩的甜蜜。

而现在我终可无憾地死去，

因已在最后一瞥中看见你。

（再次哭泣）

任凭怎样的囚禁或是创伤，

任凭可憎的奥克在四周游荡，

没有任何事物能够贬损我，

即便是经年累月的残酷折磨。

哦我挚爱的堂亲，我祝愿你

所射之箭无一支徒劳无益。

让它穿透这残躯放出鲜血，

助我解脱出这该诅咒之地。

[主演边哭泣边向着天空祈祷。]

Fingon：

哦，曼威！

众维拉之王，阿尔达之主！

是您保佑我们免遭危险。

现在我谦卑地向您祈祷：

让您的祝福落在弓弦上，

使我的堂兄摆脱这不幸。

[梭隆多展开双翼；主演骑在鹰背上，试图强行打开镣铐。]

Fingon:

这可诅咒的枷锁！

　　

Maedhros：

邪恶的灵居住在这锁链里。

我残杀了我曾爱着的人们，

背叛了他们以及所有一切，

不听告诫却听从恶念召唤。

死亡将成为我唯一的出路。

第十棒 @Fëaduil 

Fingon:

Mighty stone met me well a long way,

and the Empty sky lightened by lighthouse.

An old friend came to my mind,

to whom I could reveal nothing but sorrow.

Long had I ruled

Yet after the war of Tirion

the path leads forward,

turned out to be merely deceit.

To disclose the mishap of my kindred

I tramped among the mountains.

Still I shall go on and on,

so long as my courage sustains.

Alone in depth,

with sharp sword and strong bow,

I got no fear in me,

though the shadow of Mordor has long been cast upon us.

Along the dread mountains and down to meandering path,

when Hemera and Aether dive into the waters of the west

and Erebus and Nyx prepare to cast the dark,

How shall I find him?

(singing morosely)

Remember the day,

when soft breeze blows at dawn,

with my friends I shall meet,

not a thing left to say in this life.

Staring at numerous constellation,

gazing at blooming wild flowers,

we witnessed roaring waves of sea

joining the boundless sky.

(Maedhros enters)

Maedhros:

Who is singing the ancient rhythm,

echos among grand mountains.

Suddenly the past days come back to me,

when Tirion was full of grandeur and glory.

Undoubtedly this is only in my mind,

otherwise how come I may encounter my cousin,

in all the choking darkness--

(sobbing)

I can not help shedding tears,

for I love my cousin more than

all other gorgeous treasure in the world.

(even the silmarillion)

In the old days we fought together,

our arrows chasing the wind and fled like time did.

Underneath the silver celestial and glorious Telperion,

we'd sing an ode side by side.

All my nobilities has been revealed for you,

all my faith has been placed upon you.

And in return,

you gave your heart to me.

(weeping)

There you are, dearest cousin!

Bitter sweetness rushed out of my heart.

I can now die without regret,

as I see you in the last glance.

(weeping again)

No matter what captivity or impasse I was in,

or how resentful the wandering Orcs may be,

Nothing on earth can derogate me,

even years of torment in the dark.

O my beloved cousin,

I wish your arrows never miss.

Let it wound this body,

and lift me out of this cursed ground.

(pray to the sky)

Fingon:

O Manwe,King of Valar and Alda,

you protect us from danger,

I now say this prayer humberly:

bestow your benediction to this arrow,

and free my cousin from his mishap.

(Fingon riding the King of Eagle, trying to open the shackle)

This cursed fetters!

Maedhros:

Wicked ghosts live in the chains.

Once the warning was delivered, meanwhile evil intentions call.

Yet I killed my beloved people,

and so I had to die.

Fingon:

The stars are not wanted now,put out everyone,

Pack up Telperion and dismantle Laurelin,

Pour away Belegaer and sweep up Greenwood the great,

For nothing now can ever come to any good.
